David Shayler is the reincarnation of a BCE Jewish revolutionary. Apparently.

I've previously blogged about the MI5 whistleblower, and prominent 9/11 'truth' movement member, David Shayler: he allegedly advocated a lot of David Icke-style beliefs around aliens etc (although, when Schnews reported this, he denied much of it). However, things get stranger - The Times reports Shayler stating that:

The Jesus of the New Testament is an archetype. His name derives from the 13th Name of God in Qabalah, which helps activate the Messiah consciousness within us. I was, though, crucified with a crown of thorns and nails when incarnated as Astronges, a Jewish revolutionary put to death by the Romans at around the end of the last century BC . . . It would therefore be good karma for you to correct the wrong impressions you have given in your article.

Where's a good lizard alien when you need one!

Privacy and Harassment on the Internet - Kassiane Sibley

Privacy on the Internet is clearly a concern - pictures, e-mails, blog entries etc. that one would not want the world to see can now circulate incredibly easily. Online harassment can also be a concern (for example, the problems faced by Kathy Sierra).

The problems faced by Kassiane Sibley are discussed (among other places) on the Ballastexistenz blog - read about it here (given the topic, the link's probably not entirely 'work safe'). I'll quote from Amanda's summary of the story below:

Jerod Poore has now posted sexual pictures of Kassiane Sibley without her consent, in fact with her express non-consent, because of whatever dispute they are having. He’d apparently been threatening to post these pictures for awhile.

Please note: There is no excuse in the universe for doing this. Even if what he said were true. Even if the sex were really wholly consensual (which Kassi says it wasn’t). Even if Kassiane were manipulative and horrible and nasty and self-centered person who stole things from him and left his life a mess, there would be no excuse for this. There is no excuse in the world for posting sexual pictures of her without her consent, and even less excuse to post them above her explicit objections.

One interesting thing about the problems faced by Sibley is that when explicit pictures of her were posted online, with her explicit non-consent, the response was to use the Internet to focus attention on what happened. Harassment is addressed (in what I think might be a relatively effective way) by focusing additional virtual attention on it. This seems like a potentially positive, useful development - which will hopefully develop into an effective response to harassment.
