Human Terrain System, Memory and "A CORDS for the 21st Century"
Being forwarded the American Anthropological Association's statement on the Human Terrain System (HTS) Project, I looked back over some of the materials on this project. One thing that surprised me was a reference [PDF link] to HTS as "A CORDS for the 21st Century" (CORDS was part of the US intervention in Vietnam). It's interesting that aspects of US operations in Vietnam are now - pretty openly - being considered as a model for US-led operations in Baghdad...
