Fair and balanced assessment of the risks of modernity
Sometimes satire can be the best response to fear-mongering, and eclectech's wonderful response to scare stories about the Internet is a good example.
Here in the UK, we're regularly warned about the dangers of the Internet: paedophiles, identity theft, hackers, viruses... As eclectech puts it, "The world was a safer place before t'internet. Oh yes. No risk out there in the real world, that's mad talk." Indeed, on the Internet
There's danger there You'd better beware It's all a technological snare For that's how evil predators pick their victims.
