The Non-State Blog: Introduction
As suggested in the title, this weblog focuses on the non-state actors (NSAs) – the tran-national and sub-national players that crucially shape global affairs yet also complicate the often state-centered discourse of international relations and international law. This project is well underway; scholars have been pulling NSAs into the spotlight for decades and the inception of the “global war on terrorism” (GWOT) has marked a dramatic shift towards an international focus on NSAs.
