Hello, Jill!
I came across your website when I typed "u.s. consulate Istanbul" into the Google search engine. At first glimpse, it seems as if you are involved in an internship with the U.S. consulate in Istanbul - how exciting! Starting next week, I will begin my first year at McGill University in Montreal, Canada; I plan to major in Middle East Studies and International Relations. My mother is Turkish and I have traveled to Turkey extensively (including this past summer, where I stayed in Istanbul and took a Turkish language course to improve my Turkish). I have already been thinking ahead for next summer; in addition to continuing my Turkish course, I wanted to engage in an internship with a Turkish company. I'm not sure if you're still in university or if you've already graduated and are living in Turkey, but I would really appreciate it if you could tell me a little bit about your experience so far and how I would perhaps be able to secure an internship with the U.S. Consulate in Istanbul.
