World Information and Communication for Development Report 2006
Information and communication technologies are rapidly evolving, changing rich and poor societies alike. They have become a powerful tool for participating in the global economy and offering new opportunities for development efforts. This report examines the ICT-related roles of the public and private sectors in both developed and developing countries, identifying the challenges and benefits of adopting and expanding ICT use.
